Other times it means that a thicker surface course, or additional reinforcing or flexural strength efforts are needed. Pavers last a long time because as a surface course they are flexible, which minimizes random cracking, which minimizes raveling, which ultimately leads to the need for repair or replacement in asphalt or concrete surfaces. Proper subgrade prep, mix design, reinforcement, and joint design can produce a concrete driveway that will perform on par with any other design. |
